Our Kitchen

Quae Prius horrea nunc habitacula
Built between the 1100 and 1200, our kitchen goes back to the middle ages when it served as storage for wheat and was one the official Vatican grain storage units in the area until the 1500s.

Located in the historical neighborhood of Borgo, strategically just steps away from St. Peter Basilica and the Vatican Museums our kitchen is an hidden gem in the heart of Rome with all its history and charm.

Its typical vaults, the terracotta bricks and the remains of the original oven let us wonder of ancient times when wheat was a symbol of wealth and civilization, the water mills were on the banks of the Tiber and fresh grinded flour was carried here through Vicolo del Farinone.

Now it became the perfect setting for our authentic cooking experiences, equipped with everything you would find in a professional kitchen while keeping a homie and cozy atmosphere.
